General Guidelines

This page contains several versions of the CARLI and I-Share logos, and information about the permitted use of the logos. The CARLI color palette is also included here with details for Pantone, CMYK, RGB and Hexadecimal versions.

Use of the Logos

The CARLI and I-Share logos may be used by CARLI member libraries in their training and informational materials. CARLI or I-Share logos may be used in other institutional promotional materials only with written permission from CARLI. The CARLI and I-Share logos may not be used to promote or imply endorsement of non-CARLI activities. To request permission to use the CARLI or I-Share logos, send an email to CARLI Support.

The CARLI and I-Share logos must remain as originally drawn and proportioned and cannot be modified. The logos may not be deconstructed; parts of the logo may not appear without the other elements that make up the logo. The logos may be reproduced in a single color or in two colors. When a logo is reproduced in a single color, black or one of the colors from the palette should be used. Logos available from this site should be downloaded. Users should not link to these logos in lieu of placing a copy of the logo on the user’s site.

Customizing Your I-Share Catalog

VuFind and WebVoyáge currently offer limited opportunities to customize your library’s I-Share catalog. Libraries may customize the colors used on the page, and include a logo or image in the header area of the page.

Customizing for VuFind

Libraries interested in customizing their local VuFind catalog may complete the online customization form at http://www.carli.illinois.edu/mem-prod/I-Share/opac/vuFcustom.php .

The results will be forwarded to the CARLI office for implementation.

Customizing for WebVoyáge

Detailed information and instructions for local customization within the I-Share local WebVoyáge configuration are available at http://www.carli.illinois.edu/mem-prod/I-Share/opac/wv-cust-within-dflt.html .

Adding an OPAC Search Box to Your Library's Web Site

Libraries interested in adding an OPAC search box to its library web site may take advantage of a service developed by CARLI and the I-Share OPAC team.

The OPAC Search Box Builder will allow libraries to design the OPAC search box they want to incorporate into their web site, and will present them with copy-and-pasteable HTML to do so. The Search Box Builder is available at: http://www.carli.illinois.edu/mem-prod/I-Share/opac/opac_search_box_builder.php .
